José Luis Ábalos, Spain’s Minister for Public Works and Transport, accompanied by Isabel Pardo de Vera, president of Adif, and Isaías Táboas, president of Renfe, among others, visited the OGI Axle stand at Innotrans 2018, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to the railway sector which took place in Berlin.
During the visit, the OGI Axle project was presented to the committee by Jose Pozo, Grupo Azvi. They had the opportunity to find out about the project’s development and current situation after the completion of the 100,000km required by the ETH to obtain the necessary license for commercial services.
The OGI axles will help solve the problem of freight gauge changes between existing railway networks.
The presentation of the OGI axles at InnoTrans was made possible with the support and collaboration of Mafex, The Spanish Railway Association which represents the Spanish railway industry, and which is currently made up of 70 companies totalling more than 80% of railway exports in our country.
